Lebron James makes $135 a minute and makes at least $32 million a week. Athletes all make an incredible amount of money, but they don't just play, they have to practice and put in the time. Numerous professional athletes earn millions of dollars. Some people think that these athletes get paid too much, and they are always at the gym or shooting baskets with their kids. People think all they do is spend money and get too much money. They have to get up early every morning and go to practice and stay there for at least two hours. I believe that NBA players should keep the money they have now. They should raise the salaries of nurses and firefighters not lower the athletes. I believe that athletes do deserve all the money because they are putting in hours of work every day, including the weekends. To begin, they practice an hour and a half every day but not on game days. On the weekend, they practice two to three hours a day. Most of us just sleep late, wake up, and do nothing while they are sweating and tired. Next, the players hardly get to see their families because they have games or practice. Lebron James’ wife has to get up and make their kids breakfast and Lebron working out or at practice. He's one of the best players in the NBA, and he got dubbed “the king”. …show more content…
Cheerleaders would not be able to cheer , and coaches wouldn't have a job. Those are some of the reasons that I think athletes are not overpaid. I do understand why people would say they get paid to much, but they don't because they are always putting in work on the court. I see why other people think that they get too much money. Some of the players donate their money to charity. But, some other basketball players just keep all their money to themselves. Nurses should get a lot of money because they save people's lives, so I can see why they don’t think athletes should get that much
