Atticus Finch Weaknesses

Being a morally upright lawyer, committed loving father, and good citizen can be hard, but it’s not impossible. There are people in the world who are amazing lawyers and fathers at the same time but to be one you can’t run from you problems. If you run away from you problems and responsibilities then you can’t do anything but if you face them, then you could be anything in the world you want. There will be times where you might not be able to accomplish things, however you will just have to work harder for them. For example the most inspiring character of the 20th century is Atticus Finch from the novel To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. He has flaws but he never gave up. Looking closely at Atticus Finch's strengths and weakness, how he is the moral compass of Maycomb, and how he justifies to the lie that he agrees to at the end of the novel. Everyone has strengths and weakness, no one is perfect. Atticus Finch may seem to have no flaws but he has many strengths and weakness just like us. When Heck Tate tells Atticus that Bob Ewell fell on the knife and died Atticus was shocked that he lied. On page 370 it says “Well it’d be sort of like shootin’ a mockingbird, wouldn’t it?” Through Heck Tate’s and Scout’s persuasion Atticus realized that if he turns in Boo, it would be like killing a Mockingbird. This is the best example of justice even though they were lying because they were lying for something good. When Mr. Ewell was killed that is when justice was served because everybody knew the truth about Tom Robinson and how he was innocent. Bob Ewell’s deserved what he got and that’s how Tom Robinson got justice. This one time when Atticus justifies to a lie, it is okay because it is for a good cause and it is for Tom
