A Brief Note On Chile

As of August 5, 33 workers are suffering in a cave, trapped underground in San Jose mines in Chile, a small copper operation owned by Minera San Esteban Primera. This has been a terrible and an unexpected accident. We send out our hope and prayers to all the families of the 33 workers. As of now we are using all our resources to locate the workers. We have no official confirmation of survivors. We have no way of knowing if the food supply, water, and oxygen the miners have with them. We have a search party drilling holes; as an attempt to locate the 33 workers. We are estimating that the workers are trapped in the depth around 300 meters. As an attempt to locate the 33 workers, we experience a second cave in, this happen on Saturday, which forced us to stop the search for a couple of hours. The (FMC) known as the federation of Chile and (CTC) the confederation of copper workers are the local organization have been questioning Minera San Esteban’s about safety protocol and safety procedures. The presidents of Chile Sebastian Pinera has been notified and sends out his prayers to the family’s of these worker, also has promise to investigate the accident .
