People all over the world are aware of the spectrum disorder autism. About 1% of the world are affected by this disorder. People with the disorder often are caught with autism in the early stages of their lives. It affects the person's inability to communicate and interact with others. Behaviors of people who have the spectrum disorder often show a delay of language, lack of eye contact, poor motor skills, and poor interaction skills. Some symptoms of babies and or toddlers that have autism are not saying anything after 16 months of their lives from cooing to one actual word. Another symptom that kids have autism is loss of any language or social skill at any age. Finally the last symptom is kids do not gesture/ wave and point to objects …show more content…
The background information and history of the organization is,the creators of the organization want others to know what autism is. How it affects people in everyday life and also why it occurs. This purpose of the Autism Speaks Organization is to promote solutions to expand the needs of individuals and their families to help them cope and understand the autism spectrum disorder in a better perspective of view. The impact of Autism Speaks Organization is tremendous and is still increasingly getting more viewers to the organization each and everyday. This tells you how impactful this has been on others all over the world. What is neat about this organization is how much it has grown since the creation of the organization. Since it is so inspiring and touching to families and others affected by the disorder, it has a purpose of why the organization was made and in one family but not only just that family many others …show more content…
Not only has it impacted them in a positive way, but it is also one of the reasons why this organization was created. When Suzanne and Bob Wright, the co-founders of Autism Speaks Organization found out that their grandson had been diagnosed with autism. They were instantly inspired to come up with an organization that helped families all over the world who are affected by autism in any shape or form. This organization has been successful in many ways. Their main goals that they wanted to accomplish in the early making of the organization is funding money for scientific studies to be done on the spectrum disorder that affects 1% of the world. With these studies, they could see why it occurs and how it occurs within people. Another goal they wanted to see being accomplished in their studies is enhancing the life of others that are affected by autism in any way. Since their studies were going further and further to break ground on the information on autism, they assured that the information that they had about autism played a role within the families that are also affected by it. The Wright’s goals and dreams were successfully accomplished, but all though it took years and years of research they were glad to find out the new, unknown information about the spectrum disorder autism.
