Everybody has different opinions on having an education. Some may think it is really important to have one, but others may think it doesn’t really matter. Also, some people just don’t care about education, but others really take it seriously. Everyone has a different mindset and opinion. From the narratives we’ve read, they all show different stories on people getting their education. He enjoyed football more than learning in school and didn’t care about it. In the book, it says, “While other students casually worked to complete the worksheet, Boobie ate some candy and left blank the entire second page, which asked for definitions of certain genetic terms” (Bissinger 8). This shows how much Eddie cared about his education. He liked to learn and was really smart. In Sherman Alexie’s narrative, “Superman and Me”, Alexie shows he likes to learn and especially read. It also shows that being literate can help you in the future. In the narrative, it says, “I visit schools and teach creative writing to Indian kids” (Alexie 136). This shows that even though Alexie started from not knowing anything, he kept pushing himself to learn to read and he didn’t let stereotype stop him. The education he got helped him become who he is today, which is a writer. These two examples show similarity because these two people cared about their education. One of them was ranked as one of the smartest students in their senior class, and the other used his education to become a writer. They both enjoyed learning. Overall, everyone has their own opinion on having an education. Some may take it very seriously and go far in their future, but others may think it’s just to pass time. All these examples show different people showing different thoughts about their education. Not everyone has the same thought, but some go further than others in the
