I was not able to look at my bacteria under the microscope, but when looking at the isolated colony, I noticed that it was yellow, cloudy, and slimy. My bacteria had similar characteristics to other Bacillus bacteria. Bacillus cereus is usually found in soil and is considered a pathogen because it could be very harmful to humans. B. cereus is known for causing food poisoning. It is spore forming on foods that have been spoiled, which causes the sickness when digested.
