The Romans during the late Republic era of Rome,like most peoples during the time,greatly believed in superstitious tradition.The Romans postulate with great fervency in their gods and thought that they controlled the universe.The author,William Shakespeare,makes great use of these postulations in “The Tragedy of Julius Caesar.”In Act I of the play a storm rages overhead.During the storm idiosyncratic events occur.Such as burning people walking throughout the streets of Rome,a slave’s arm lights ablaze when the flame is put out he bares no wound,a lioness walks through the streets of Rome although she did not attack anyone and an owl hoots in the streets of Rome,all bad omens in Roman culture,as well as showing the chaos Rome will be in under
