The character I choose in the story is Bailey. Baile, is Maya Angelou’s only brother I choose him because he is in almost every chapter and also because the bond that connects maya with Bailey is so strong and also because Bailey would do anything for his sister and that is something you can't forget about him in the book,’I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings’.
Bailey is small, graceful, smooth and he has velvet-black skin with curly hair. Bailey is a responsible kid, he finishes all his chores in time and he still has time to read to himself and also to his sister he did his homework also when he goes to church he loves to pray out loud. Something Bailey said in the book to maya was ‘He cant kill me I won't let him. [In chapter 13 page 83.]
