To be wary is to show caution about future dangers and problems. Shakespeare demonstrates to not be wary with Macbeth's activity of believing the witches. Macbeth not being careful about the witches prompts to his downfall and in the long run, his passing. The witches have three greetings upon Macbeth's arrival, the most essential one is “All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be King hereafter” (1.3. 50). This is a predication that Macbeth will be King in the near future. Macbeth hears the news of Malcolm being named Prince of Cumberland and himself being named Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth takes comfort in the witches, while Banquo is still very cautious. Macbeth refuses to show wariness in trusting others, by trusting the words of the witches. The witches show Macbeth three apparitions, they were used to deceive him. In the end, Macbeth does realize what the witches has done to him and says, “Accursed be that tongue that tells me so, / For it hath cow'd my better part of man!” (5.8. 17-18). But, individuals motivated by ambition can finish extradoniry things. Nonetheless, enticed by their wishes, it can demolish them. Macbeth's ruin and demolition was a result of his ambition. Macbeth's one reason to execute King Duncan is “Vaulting ambition, which o'erleaps itself, / And falls on th' other” (1.7. 27-28). He takes control, executes the King and any other individual who is in his way. Macbeth show vaulting ambition in his successful attempt to kill King Duncan in order to take the throne for himself. Macbeth told many lies to rise to power. This is a good example of looking into the human spirit, as it shows how we, as humans, know what Macbeth did was wrong.
