Unless you have learned about all of the different times of rhetorical devices, you might see these and not recognize them. In Becoming Educated Barbara Jordan expresses many of these devices. Some that may stick out or that were accurately used are, restatement along with asyndeton. Repetition is known as saying one element and then repeating it, saying it over. Frequently it used to expand and over explain something.
