Responding Creatively for "Barney"

I am so glad to be away from that wretched island, and that maniac of a scientist! I still have nightmares about it there, the torture, and the “experiments for health reasons”, oh it was terrible! I still remember it like it was yesterday; when we first got there I had a few friends, the guinea pigs, they were very nice and kind. Until the two scientists were fighting one day, speaking their gibberish language as usual and then their voices started getting very loud and they were throwing things, then the scrawnier one picked up Mama, the biggest of the family, and showed her off to the maniac scientist. The maniac then proceeded to shout and point at me, I was very scared at the time after all I was pretty young, he proceeded to inject every guinea pig with his big green needle that had a symbol of bones and a human skull on it, a few seconds after the injection Mama dropped to floor, dead! Next the maniac injected the green needle into the rest of the mortified family; you can probably see I hated this guy already! Soon the scrawny scientist tried to poison my already disgusting food, the nerve! But of course the maniac found out and yelled in their peculiar babble I could see they were both very mad and the scrawny one was a little afraid. Soon the maniac was pointing to the door and the scrawny one sulked over to the dooor that was the last time I saw him. I was a little happier because now I only get half the experiments but it was still surprising how the maniac seemed relieved that the other scientist was gone. The day after the scrawny scientist left the maniac let me out of my cage (finally!) He would keep me in my cage for so long! I scampered to the bookshelf and pulled out a book, I knew I could find something that would help me get away, I decided to try to read their weird language, I soon got familiar with the characters but not enough. That scientist sure did write in his leather book a lot, I wondered if all humans are like this. The next day I had almost got away from that maniac monster; I created a plan the night before while he was asleep, I planned to lock the scientist in that horrid basement when he let me run around for the day.
