I've been around baseball ever since I was three. I started tee ball as a toddler and progressed through levels of coach pitch, kid pitch, beginning travel ball, and then competitive travel baseball. I have played in tournaments and showcases at the highest level from New York to Wisconsin. I plan to play for Notre Dame College Prep as well as my travel club throughout my four years of high school. After high school, I hope to receive a scholarship to play at a competitive college. I dream of playing beyond college, maybe until my bones creak and my teeth fall out. We all know that's far-fetched, but coaching players at a high level would be a way to continue my love of the game.
This amazing sport has brought incredible joy and happiness to me throughout the years and I can't imagine ever letting it go. I've built up memories that have shaped me as a person from an early age, had many great achievements as a result of my hard work and dedication to the game, and have even gotten the opportunity to receive the highest level of coaching from major league players. I remember every moment of my career starting from when I got my first baseball glove from my father to my first travel game in Barrington, IL where I hit two doubles. Showing sportsmanship, leadership, hard work, and dedication while playing the game is just as important as hitting a home run, and these mental traits are a magnet for scouts and other coaches. Many coaches talk about the importance of being a gentleman of the game. To me this means you treat the game with respect as well as respecting the other players on your team, your opponents, coaches, fans, and umpires. Being a scholar and gentleman of the game allows you to stand out in the crowd, to scouts and college coaches, but also to your teammates and opposing
