The Battle of the Coral Sea, in May (1942) between Japan, and the allied forces of America and Australia was a vast turning point in the War in the Pacific, because the US aircraft carriers and Australian cruisers and destroyers engaged the Japanese in the battle and forced the Japanese to abandon their plans, this was the first time The Japanese were halted when going through the pacific.
