It’s installing! I can’t wait until it finishes, so I can play. I have been waiting for a whole year for this game to release. This is going to be the biggest game of the year. I preordered this and paid extra for the collector’s edition. Battlefield 4 is going to be the game of the year. All the hype surrounding the game can’t a bad thing. This is what I thought up until the game released. Overhyping a game only leads you to have unrealistic expectations and needless excitement of the games that are going to be released. Overhyping a game is something games media does and it needs to be watched because it could end up hurting the games industry in the long run.
For example, in my over excitement for Battlefield 4 I preordered the game really early. Preordering is when you purchase a game before it releases. I preordered Battlefield 4 and all the add-ons that came with it. The issue with this is that I bought Battlefield 4 before I was even shown what the game even looked like as a finished product. This is a product of how games are advertised today. Quotes like “Believe the Hype” and “Best game of the year material” lead you to think that the game will be the best thing to come out in a while. While developers are not legally responsible for the hype surrounding the game they still catch heat from disappointed customers. Watch Dogs are another example of over hype. Watch Dogs was advertised to be the best looking game on the market.
