Deception is something interpreted by the human mind, in order to convince oneself to do or believe in something. Beatrice and Benedick’s relationship is built upon a pile of lies and deceptions told to them by their friends. Don Pedro, Claudio, and Hero all believe that Benedick and Beatrice are meant for each other. They come up with a plan in order to get them to fall for each other, again. They would manipulate them in order for them to come to that conclusion on their own. Their plan for Benedick is as followed, “he shall fall in love with Beatrice. If we can do this, Cupid is no longer an archer; his glory shall be ours, for we are the only love gods. Go in with me, and I will tell you my drift” (2.1.375-378). Hero takes this same approach
