As a child Beatty was raised in a well known family that suited the lifestyle of the rich and popular. His father was a librarian at the local library, while the mother tended to the house and took care of Beatty's other siblings. The family lived outside of their city in a quaint little house.
As time went by the family noticed that the mother was becoming ill. She would have to rely on Beatty for help with cooking and cleaning aside from his normal chores. The doctors then tried their best to assist the mother into good health.
