People from all over the world want to come to the U.S. Why wouldn’t they? We are able to vote and we have freedom. Becoming a citizen of The United States is a big milestone in someone’s life. Being a citizen has many advantages, but it does take some time. Over the many years humans have lived on Earth, there have been many traumatic events. Not only have wars begun, but there have been multiple terrorist attacks. There are reasons why people may become resilient. When people see horrible events, they flee. They don’t want to be part of anything terrible, but the truth is that events like those happen everywhere. People become resilient and they leave their homeland and sometimes even their families. People who become citizens of the U.S. brag about it like it is an award, that is how special it is to be a citizen. We often wonder why so many people want to become a citizen and there are many reasons. Voting is a right we have when we turn 18 years old, but you have to be a citizen of the United States. In countries like Mexico and Africa, there are not many jobs available. In the U.S. there are tons of jobs, many with higher pay. Some people who immigrated here are thinking about their family. If you want to start a family in the U.S. you can. It is even better if you are a citizen because if your child is born in the U.S. they automatically are a citizen. Many people travel during the holidays and can go anywhere with a passport. By becoming a citizen of the US, you are able to travel anywhere without a visa and just a passport.
