Being a citizen has many advantages, but it does take some time. Over the many years humans have lived on Earth, there have been many traumatic events. People who become citizens of the U.S. brag about it like it is an award, that is how special it is to be a citizen. We often wonder why so many people want to become a citizen and there are many reasons. Voting is a right we have when we turn 18 years old, but you have to be a citizen of the United States. In countries like Mexico and Africa, there are not many jobs available. In the U.S. there are tons of jobs, many with higher pay. Some people who immigrated here are thinking about their family. If you want to start a family in the U.S. you can. It is even better if you are a citizen because if your child is born in the U.S. they automatically are a citizen. Many people travel during the holidays and can go anywhere with a passport. By becoming a citizen of the US, you are able to travel anywhere without a visa and just a passport. Becoming a U.S. citizen is very time consuming but it has many perks. Overall, becoming a citizen of the U.S. is of great importance.
