There are several reasons as to why one should have a career in the medical field, a perpetual expanding industry that is aiding, helping and restoring the unwell citizens of United States. I have chosen to work in an environment where assisting others is a constant matter to attend to. My first choice of occupation is a family and general practitioner in Dallas-Forth Worth-Arlington, Tx; my second choice would be to work as a nursing assistant.
The option of working in Dallas-Forth Worth-Arlington, Tx, was due to the fact that I would want to work close to where I currently live; this would allow me to travel efficiently. Another reason for choosing a profession near my house is because I prefer to be living with my family and I believe they would be moral support as I progress through my career.
In the medical industry, Physicians and family doctors examine, diagnose and prescribe appropriate medications along with proper treatments to people with different conditions or diseases. The reason why I want to become a family or general practitioner is because …show more content…

The reason why I would want to become a nursing assistant is the same as my reasons for becoming a nursing assistant; serving and helping those who need it. Nursing assistants, sometimes called nursing aides, help provide basic care for patients in hospitals and residents of long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes. They are frequently physically active and may need to help lift or move patients. A class must be completed. Nursing assistants must complete a state-approved education program and must pass their state’s competency exam to become certified.
