There are a lot of requirements to becoming a Pediatrician. Pediatricians provide care to children. Pediatricians often work in intensive care units otherwise known as PICU along with pediatric nurses and other health care providers. They provide acute care to children and adolescents. They perform physical exams, diagnose illness and injury, also provide education and support to patient’s families. However a lot of education and training is required to become a pediatrician. Classes in high school that would help in the future include Chemistry, Anatomy, Advanced Sciences such as Biology, and Physics. English and Spanish is helpful too for communication.
