As the population of young children grows, so does the demand for pediatricians.
Being a Pediatrician is not only a rewarding job for that person, but also for the young adults and children receiving the care.Therefore, the growth and demand of pediatricians is growing rapidly in the United States. Which is why more people are considering becoming a pediatrician. Becoming a pediatrician is a good career choice because it allows people to work with children of all ages,the salary is pretty good,and it also allows people to help others. Iannelli emphasizes that typical pediatricians work about fifty-four hours a week. A Pediatrician's day starts about eight a.m. and ends around five p.m.(Iannelli). Iannelli also urges us to think about where we want to work as a pediatrician because pediatricians can be self-employed or work as an employee of a group practice or hospital. Only about ten percent of pediatricians decide to be self-employed or work in a hospital,therefore ninety percent work in group practices (Iannelli).Typical pediatricians work in more urban areas of the world(Iannelli).The Bureau of Labor Statistics has said that the employment rate of physicians and surgeons should increase by 18% between the years 2012-2020(How to become).
