A few years ago I was planning to start my career as Physical Therapist Assistant. Now that I am very close to achieve my goal, I cannot stop thinking about how will my future look in the next five years. Becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant is just the beginning of long term goals I expect to accomplish that will help me grow as a professional. This will not only benefit me, but it will also show my children that we need to work and follow our dreams. I further plan to expand my abilities and knowledge to reach out to a community that will benefit from it.
My first goal after graduation is to find a job that will give me the opportunity to challenge myself to flourish in the Physical Therapy field. With the experience and the knowledge that I will acquired throughout my future career, I will be able to make a difference in someone’s life by helping improve their quality of life. With a bachelor in science I will have better understanding in the science principle and I will have more foundation of the medical field to start the PT program. As of a bachelor’s degree in sport medicine I will learn with more details how the human body works as a whole to produce movement, and body conditioning. Becoming a Physical Therapist is a dream that I will accomplish, because I want to be an essential element in the patient care and wellbeing. I desire to be a part of a team that will work towards getting the patient to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Additionally, as a Physical Therapist I will be able to create my own plan of care for individuals to prevent loss of mobility by developing fitness and wellness oriented programs for healthier and more active
