Veterinarians have a job that takes a long time to meet the requirements for education and training. The majority people studying to become a veterinarian have to go to college for eight years. Which is longer for a doctor to go to college. The reason for this because veterinarians are required to learn about the different structures of many different animals. They must also learn about the illnesses that the animals may get and how to treat them.
Veterinarians have many tasks that they must do in their job. The first task is that they treat sick and injured animals (Career Cruising). They also inform owners of what is needed for their pet to keep them as healthy as they can be (Christensen). They are also frequently on the telephone

But they need a higher degree than an assistant. What they will need is a two year Associate’s degree (allAlliedHealthSchools). It takes two to three years to get the degree (allAlliedHealthSchools).
To become a veterinarian you must go to college. They have to go to college for eight years. Which is longer than a doctor has to go for schooling. The reason behind this is because a veterinarian must learn the different structures of different animals. As well as what to look at when finding an illness in an animal. Classes that they will need to take are medicine and dentistry, biology, mathematics, English language, and customer and personal service (Onet).
In those eight years of college they will have two to four years of pre-veterinary studies and four years of their DVM degree (Career Cruising). After that though a person becoming a veterinarian must be licenses first. The licensing process varies by the state (Learn.org). They must pass the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination before they can go to work

This is where they will take care of pets most of the time. But, not all office jobs have to do with taking care of animals. Some veterinarians are employed at drug and food manufacturing companies and food safety inspection facilities (Foothill). They make sure the animals are not carrying diseases that can be passed to humans.
Veterinarians have many responsibilities. They can open their own business and hire workers, which they will be responsible for (Learn.org). They supervise the veterinarian technicians and technologists (Foothill). But, even if they own their own business, they have to follow regulations. And the government tells them what they are allowed to do (AVMA Relation).
There can be dangers to the job of course. For veterinarians can come into contact with dangerous animals (Career Cruising). Even when working in clinics, they may have to deal with harmful animal, such as dogs. Therefore, they must be careful not to anger the animals or cause them to feel as if they are in danger.
