Being a veterinarian has a lot of hoops that you must jump through, such as; having important features that will help you throughout the career, different job duties depending on what field of being a veterinary you choose, the education you need, challenges with clients, the pets themselves and many other things. There are also a lot of benefits to the job, which make it all worth it. Becoming a veterinarian is the best job for me, because I love to be around animals and I love helping them in life. There are a lot of important personal features of being a veterinarian. You must be able to have a keenness and speed in understanding and deciding a business situation. You must also be able to manage your expenses and many other requirements needed for a veterinary office. …show more content…
They must clean teeth, inspect hooves, perform surgeries, animal euthanasia, administer vaccines, health check-ups, fix broken bones, treat skin infections and perform surgeries. Sometimes they will also have to check on the living conditions of animals living on farms and ranches. You must do these to make sure that they are living in a healthy and safe environment. During check-ups a veterinarian must make sure the animal is healthy and diagnose any health problems that may be happening at the time in or outside of the animal. When they treat skin infections they must dress the wound properly to make sure that the wound with hopefully heal properly and not get infected. Not only do veterinarians have to give vaccines, but they must take blood samples to test for certain diseases if they feel there could be a possibility of the animal having that disease. The hardest part of being a veterinarian is always going to be animal Euthanasia.
