Everyone wants to achieve their goals and their own dreams but is it possible anymore? Many immigrants that come into the US want to succeed and achieve their own “American dream”, however what is the American dream. The US is a melting pot of dreams, where all dreams are different but in the end we all want is to be happy. Achieving the American dream you must first become an American and work hard. In todays world the American dream is even easier to reach than ever before. The first few steps of reaching the American dream is to become an American and thats quite easy. Being American is simply working hard and not stopping when something stands in the way between you and your dreams. Also being American is becoming an American citizen. In the article What Is An American, paragraph 3, it states”he has passed to toils….ample subsistence”. America is called the land of opportunity because there are endless opportunities and you never know when the next big opportunity comes your way. With so many opportunities and choices of life you can pick, its very easy to achieve your dream with a little hard work. “ The richness of the promise has not run out”(Address on the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty P.13). This states that in no way has the richness of America ran out. There is no way the promises of opportunities are running out if there are always new places opening up all across America.“I have a place here on the East coast….” (Growing up Asian in America P.18). This article was about an Asian women who over came her struggles and worked hard in America. She reached her America dream. The American dream is different for everyone and this women reached hers by finding her place in the American society and still keeping her traditional japans
