Becoming An Anesthesiologist

Change is a very important part of life and everyone has experienced some sort of change in his or her life, a prime example is my development through high school. In my freshman year of high school, I felt like I underestimated my abilities and did not achieve my full potential. However, as I progressed through high school, I started doing more and started achieving and exceeding the goals that I set out. Hopefully, I will keep progressing in this manner in the future, so I can accomplish my goal to become an Anesthesiologist. I will need both of these characteristics to accomplish my goal to become an anesthesiologist. The path is long and difficult. Many people do not want to go into the medical field because they think the schooling is too long or too difficult. However, I don’t think this will be a problem for me because I feel like I am talented in math and science. Not to mention, I am fascinated by those fields of studies. However, I feel that one of the major challenges of working in the medical field is dealing with the death of a patient. When you are working with numerous life or death situations, not all of them are going to have a happy ending. This might be a problem at the start of my career because I find it hard to let something like that out of my mind, but I hope as time goes I will learn to not blame myself because I did everything I could. On a lighter note, after I complete my training in medicine, I want to find a job in a small or medium sized city. I do not like big cities because there are more crimes, noises, and people. Not to mention, big cities have an insane amount of traffic. I would prefer not to wait one hour in traffic to travel five miles. I also enjoy medium to small sized cities because I feel like there is a greater sense of community. Everyone in the town knows each other. Knowing the people in my area gives me a sense of security and camaraderie. However, In order for me to get to my goal in the first place, I will need to be able to learn as much as I
