Line Man “Line Men don’t stop when they get it right they stop when they can’t get it wrong”. This quote discusses the life of a Line Man in which a job must be done perfectly in order for houses and businesses to have electricity. Line Men would work on the transmission and distribution center. Line Men are also responsible for construction, maintenance and the repair of the transmission and distribution lines. They are also testing the performance of the electric flow from the distribution lines. Pursuing a career as a Line Man is an excellent choice for one who seeks the opportunity to Travel, perform Outdoor Work, and to Benefit Society.
The first benefit of being a Line Man one is able to perform Outdoor Work. The Outdoor Work is very physically demanding. One will get to work on the cool summer days with an amazing blue sky and things are just nice. To benefit society one would run power to homes to be able to run a washer dryer maybe a tv some lights and power to run a heater to keep the house heated. Another way is that Line Men run power to businesses and banks and to small towns. This helps by powering ones work so he can be able to make a paycheck to be able to go home and pay for food and a house over his family's head. Also by powering up banks and little towns so people can buy food to put on the table so there family can eat dinner every night. By powering up banks so people can get there money out to buy all the food they can for their family. Another benefit is running power to street lights so people can see on the sidewalks as they would walk. On holidays Line Men get sent out so that families can get their power back to enjoy their holidays. They also have to get sent out in the middle of the night to fix power as it goes out while you're
