We live in a country that is a “home of the brave” and a “land of the free”. “Americans are either native or citizens of the United States”. That is a literal definition, but is it the true definition of an American? There is something other than being a citizen of America that makes us pledge our allegiance to the United States. Americans have many components that make them what they are. Every American has a particular dream when it comes to their “American Dream.” For hyphenated Americans, they may want equal opportunities and career choices. To a African-American citizen, it may be security and the ending of special privilege. It may even include the termination of racial profiling. These people live in this beloved country, therefore they have different beliefs and opinions, which is one of their freedoms.It is also something that Americans enjoy doing, voicing their opinion For example, American has seen an abundant amount of protests and rallies in its years.
