started talking so fast and in a panic, I could barely understand her. I asked her to repeat herself, but I still couldn’t understand. I then stuck my finger in my ear and told the boys to turn down the video game as she repeated herself. “I said dad had a heart attack and is being rushed to the hospital.” I then asked what hospital he was going to and hung up. The party was decorated well from the tiki lights, floral paper lanterns, hanging decorations and colorful table decorations. Once we were seated at our table, men in grass skirts ran down both aisles one by one with flame torches. Next a group of women lined up on the stage and they too were wearing grass skirts. They started hula dancing as a drum started to beat and a man walked on stage. He introduced himself and welcomed everyone to the party. He then told everyone to help themselves to some food while the show began. After he said that, Jay and I didn’t waste any time. Once we got to the table I stuffed my plate full with mini egg rolls, grilled shrimp skewers, rum-glazed ribs, baked mahi-mahi, potato salad, mangos, strawberries, and cantaloupe. As we enjoyed our food, the performers performed an ancient Hawaiian dance. After we finished eating we sat back and enjoyed the rest of the show. Once the party was over it was midnight. After we left we decided to take a romantic walk on the beach. Once we reached the sand, Jay took off his socks and shoes, we walked and held hands. When we started to walk further and further, I noticed some rocks leading to a pathway along the beach. That was a perfect excluded area for us to have some privacy.
