Imperialism is a policy of extending a country's power and influences by diplomacy or military force. Imperialism was beneficial to Europe and many other countries and colonies. Europe Got resources they needed from countries in Africa .The spread of technology helped businesses make goods faster and more efficiently. Exposure to other cultures helped with the spread of religion and languages. Europeans got the resources they needed to power their Industrial Revolution. They got some a lot of the resources from countries in Africa such as iron. Iron was brought from modern day Sudan, Morocco, Nigeria, Western Sahara, or Guinea. Iron was used for making rails for trains. Coal was brought to power the steam engines or the steam powered loom. The resources that were brought from Africa were used for transportation such as trains, tractors, and cars. Some people may think that Europe should not have taken the resources from Africa because Africa might have needed them. By getting these resources it allowed European inventors to create and improve inventions to make work easier for Europeans and other invention users around the world.
