The Judiciary Act of 1789 deemed the decision of Marbury vs. Madison unconstitutional because the court’s power comes from the Constitution, not Congress. Consequently, as a result of this decision Judicial review was established, which meant that the Supreme Court could strike down unconstitutional. It made an huge impact on the future role of the Judicial Branch because it gave them the power to declare laws or decision passed by other courts unconstitutional, they could take part in the government.
