Another reason is that the candidates have to go all over America because every state matters in the electoral college. The candidates can not leave out states while he is campaigning if they want to win. The reason that that is important is that some states would be left out of the campaign if the electoral college was not around. Another reason it is fair for America is that it gives more power to the smaller states and takes some from the large states. The reason that it gives more power to the smaller states is that it gives more votes per person than larger states.
