Almost every human being has a role model. Whether the person’s role model is famous, related to them, or a historical figure of the past. We look up to that person. We want them to be proud of us. Benny Carter is a man of high integrity, honor, and love. He has been a role model for not only me, but for many other men and Christians as well.
Benny Valentine Carter, born on February 14, 1948, has affected me in great ways, by the way he lived before I was born, and he still does so today. He had been an assistant pastor in his younger years, a deacon, and helped with our church's financial spendings and savings. He works at Coffey Murray Funeral Home. He does this because he loves people, and that is what God has called him to do. To reach out to those in need, for Benny has witnessed himself God’s love for him, and he wants to share it with everyone.
Likewise, he has the qualities that a man from the Bible named Paul had. Paul, originally named Saul, had done many bad things before finding Christ. Yet after he found Him, his entire life was changed and he was devoted to following God, no matter the risks. Benny was the exact same way. He had been a little reckless with his life in his young years. Today, if you ask him about his past, he will tell you “I know The Lord had been watching over me. If He hadn’t been,
I would be dead.” To many, Benny has become a man of great faith. If one has troubles within their life, benny will teach them and assist them in any way possible. After he is finished speaking with them he will always say, “Just watch and pray, it will work itself out.” Every time this has happened, is has been worked out. It shows how faithful, and how positive he is.
For many, Benny has been an amazingly positive role model, including me. he has led many to Christ, but he will not take any glory from it, for it is not his glory. He gives all
