Beowulf is known as a great warrior in both the movie and the text , but do you think some parts from the film and text might differ? In the movie he is looked up to and loved by many . Everyone likes him execpt for one person that thought he was a joke. Beowulf took it upon himself to kill Grandel which made the man who hated him so much rethink what he thought about him, stating that Beowulf was not a joke. In the book Beowulf is known as a big strong warrior but plenty of people looked at him differently. According to the textbook people thought Beowulf was very cocky and liked to put on a show. Often people say he doesnt kill monsters just for fun he do it for fame , Beowulf is an actually kind warrior. The differences between the textbook and the movie are Beowulf was king of the geats; he kissed grendels mother, and Beowulf cut his arm off. In the movie Beowulf became king of the Danes but in the book he went home to the Geats and became king. According to the textbook the Danes called Beowulf and his men to kill their monsters Grendel. The movie and book differed in many ways. In the movie Beowulf was a very heroic man making him a hero to others and also himself. Many people looked up to him and considered him as a role model. In the book the character Beowulf had similarities as the the one in the movie but instead his actios was based on publicity and fame.
