Bharat: Similarities Between India And The US

The US, in many countries is known as America, but Americans call it the United States and similarly India, whose official name is Bharat, but Indians still call their motherland Bharat. India and America, may not have multiple similarities between each other, but they do have a couple that are noticeably vast. Although both countries have few similarities, they have countless differences which happens to be the main cause why both countries are extremely different. The biggest similarity between the two countries would be that at one in time, both countries were ruled by Britain until the US revolted and took steps against the British and later India initiated the use of nonviolence to earn their freedom. India has higher standards and its studying is harder. In India, they have a board exam which comes straight from the government. Apparently, it is easier for students in India to get into good colleges in the US while it is harder for the American students to get into the good local colleges. In India, you need to decide a field before you go to high school and you cannot switch to another field. The day of Indian kids is taken up in studying. All Indian students worry about is school, tuition, and grades. In contrast, the US’s studying is much easier when compared to India’s. All you need to do in the US, is to maintain your GPA and take part in some activities and you are into a good college. In the US, you don’t need to decide your field till college, and after that you can still change the field. The US does not focus on only studying, students do much more than just studying, like hanging out with friends, watching movies and tv, or going shopping.
