In the Baby Albert Experiments video, classical conditioning was explained via the white mice experiment. Little Albert was not afraid of any animals prior to the conditioning. He was taught to fear the rat due to the loud hammer that sounded every time he reached for a rat. After the experiment, Albert had a newly required fear of not only rats but also rabbits, dogs, and other furry objects. The sad fate of little Albert video send me to an article about Little Albert regaining his identity. It explained the Albert was actually Douglas Merritte, and he was never re-conditioned. Unfortunately, he died at the age of six.
