The story written by J. R. R. Tolkien was a phenomenal read and consisted of many important themes, strong character diversity roles and symbolism. Some of the key characters in the novel were the Elvish King Thranduil, Dwarven King Thorin Oakenshield, Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf. All of these characters were heavily shown within the story and had a massive significance to the plot. Bilbo being the main character he was a prime representative for the theme of “You can do anything you put you mind to no matter what stage you are at in your life”. Although he complained on his adventure about how he longs for his home and is wishing to go home. No matter the event he pushed through and completed whatever task he was put to.
