Shortly before 8 a.m. on December 7, 1941 Billie Dillie a country boy from Lubbock, Texas, opened his eyes filled with joy and enthusiasm in a Sunday morning at Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Hawaii. The night before several United States Armed Forces men were drinking until 3:00am, while the Japanese Forces were getting some sleep to prepare for the biggest attack in America’s history. Billie is not a drunkard, instead he’s a 22 years old man who is willing to take care of himself. He tends to be a pansy, cowardly man. You would see him at the training camp hiding like a wussy because of paintball shots. Right after waking up from his bed, he tried to wake up his mates from bed while they just couldn't since they were up until Sunday morning. Billie scared to death knew that these loud sounds weren’t the same as the one he used to hear back in training camp. Over 300 hundred Japanese aircraft were bombing the 13,000 acres naval base and standing over the top of the building the guys would see thousands of people running and screaming, military base sirens alerting the military to take their positions and fight the Japanese Navy Air Imperial.

It was a nightmare for everyone; titian-red blood spurted from the wounds as men wailed and screamed while Billie was running to death a storm of arrows was buzzing and fizzing through the sky. Looking up a jet of blood surged into the air. It tasted salty. Believe it or not, Billie was a very skilled pilot. He used to fly with his dad in a Luscombe Silvaire, one of the best airplanes for beginners. But, Billie wouldn’t even dream about the fact that he was
