We all have wanted to know, what are mental disorders? If you haven’t thought about that question before, then you are totally normal. A mental disorder or a mental illness is a wide range of conditions that affect mood, thinking, and behavior. Depression and Bipolar are the two disorders that i am going to talking about. Some disorders are more dangerous than others, but that’s ok because what’s a life without a little danger? If you one of these two disorders, I feel bad for you, because i understand how you feel and what you have to go through. Depression, is not fun, I can tell you that much. Depressive episodes may include symptoms such as low energy, low motivation, and loss of interest in daily activities. Also meaning, they aren’t really in mood for things at all. Mood episodes last days to months at a time and may have some suicidal thoughts.
Treatment is usually lifelong and often involves a combination of medications and psychotherapy.
Bipolar disorder, also known as manic-depressive illness, is a brain disorder that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks. There are many forms of bipolar. Bipolar I Disorder is defined by manic episodes that last at least 7 days, or by manic symptoms that are so severe that the person needs hospital care. But I don’t think that would help. Usually, depressive episodes occur as well, typically lasting at least 2 weeks. Episodes of depression with mixed features. Having depression and manic symptoms at the same time are also possible. Though it might not be fun.
