The piece of art that I chose is “Battle of the Bird and the Serpent” this piece of art is a symbolism for Christ and Satan. In this art Christ represents the beautiful peacock who disguises its self with mud in order to trick the snake who in this case represents Satan, and the peacock (Christ) is able to attack the snake (Satan) because when the snake (Satan) believes that the peacock (Christ) which is covered in mud is not a threat he becomes careless and the peacock (Christ) takes that moment to attack. This painting was completed in July 6, 975. What this painting tells us about the time period in which it was created is that in that time period people drew paintings that would represent their religious beliefs.
