Black Hawk was a Native American who was part of the Fox and Sauk tribes(2). He was a leader and chief(2) who was married(2) with five kids(4). Black Hawk was a famous Native American who had a war named after him. This was the Black Hawk war. This war was one of the last in the old northwest territory.(5)
Black Hawk fought in the War of 1812. He first fought with the British. With the British, he was a trusted soldier. Betraying the British, Black Hawk left them. He led his tribes to Illinois and Wisconsin(1). Black Hawk was also involved in other wars. He fought in the Black Hawk in 1832. He led his people across the Mississippi and helped fight off the white(3). Black Hawk was a war leader and established this at a young age(2). Black Hawk had many major events happen during his life, all of which he is known for. He signed a treaty in 1804, believing that this treaty was only for some hunting rights on their reservation(5). These are all things that made Black Hawk famous.

Black Hawk was born in 1767 in the Virginia Colony(2). He was born into the Thunderclan(4) and moved west when he was a little bit older(2). His father was the medicine man of the colony and died from wounds when Black Hawk was young(2). After his father's death, Black Hawk inherited his father's medicine bag(1). When Black Hawk got older, he was allowed to be involved in war. When he was fifteen, he wounded his first enemy in battle. After this, Black Hawk earned his right to wear feathers and warpaint(4). Black Hawk continued to be involved with war from this point
