In 2013, a movement that goes by the name Black Lives Matter, began to promote their slogan against police brutality and injustice. Black Lives Matter is a chapter-based national organization working for the validity of Black life.
The black race has always been the race that had to fight for the right that's other races had. They were slaves, some were beaten, and none of them could vote. Black people could not even use the same restroom or water fountain as white people. Blacks never had the equal opportunity as others did, and to this day they still don't. For example, if a white, and a black person was to go in for a job interview, more than likely the white person is going to get the job because of the color of their skin. In Dr. Martin

Trayvon Martin was an African American boy from Miami Gardens, Florida, who at 17 years old, was shot by George Zimmerman. Trayvon did nothing to George Zimmerman to cause him to kill him. Did Trayvon’s murder get justice? No, Zimmerman did not get penalized for killing an innocent black male. Zimmerman is walking around a free man while Trayvon is lying six feet under the ground for being black. Michael Brown was a black male from Ferguson, Missouri, who was shot and killed on August 9, 2014 by a white police officer named Darren Wilson. Some thought the deaths of the black males were needed, and some were 100 percent against it. Of course the ones who thought it was the right thing to do were white individuals, and the ones who thought it was absolutely wrong were other races. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, some say black lives do not matter, while other say they do. Some say all lives matter which is absolutely true, but society should recognize and respect the importance of the Black Lives Matter movement today because people are losing their lives for no reason. It would be different if it was a black officer killing a white man, then people can say all lives matter, but it is constantly the same thing over and over. A white person killing a black person for no reason and does not get penalized for it. Eventually if this continues to happen there may, or may not be any black people
