A 17 year-old boy was walking home from the store and didn’t have any weapons on him. George zimmerman ( officer ) killed Trayvon Martin in Sanford, FL and received a lot of attention for it. Zimmerman was never charged with anything starting the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag. The hashtag lead to a movement following the shootings of the victims as Eric Garner , Michael Brown, and John Crawford III who all died by a police officer. Officer Darren wilson gunned down Brown in Ferguson. They didn’t know if wilson should face criminal charges. Two more black men were killed by a police officer ( sean williams) such as Crawford. These killing are almost like Brown’s case. All of these events were followed by newspapers and other social media, America was watching. The officer wasn’t charged with anything. To stop what’s going on a movement was going to happen, with the hopes of a world where black lives are equaled like others.
