A 17 year-old boy was walking home from the store and didn’t have any weapons on him. George zimmerman ( officer ) killed Trayvon Martin in Sanford, FL and received a lot of attention for it. Zimmerman was never charged with anything starting the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag. The hashtag lead to a movement following the shootings of the victims as Eric Garner , Michael Brown, and John Crawford III who all died by a police officer. Officer Darren wilson gunned down Brown in Ferguson. They didn’t know if wilson should face criminal charges. Two more black men were killed by a police officer ( sean williams) such as Crawford. These killing are almost like Brown’s case. All of these events were followed by newspapers and other social media, America was watching. A person innocently standing near recorded what he was unable to breath, but officer Pantaleo continued and Garner later died. The officer wasn’t charged with anything. To stop what’s going on a movement was going to happen, with the hopes of a world where black lives are equaled like others.
