The three destructors are Blackie the former leader, Trevor the new leader, and Mike the little kid. All three of these character have different personality through their dialogue, selective details, and irony the three characters are very different and do what they do for different reasons. Blackie the ex-leader of the gang through his dialogue shows that he worries about Trevor, but at the same time accepts that Trevor is a better leader than he is because he is “impressed [with the] organization” in contrast to his “happy-go-lucky” ways of leadership (section 2, line 84-86). On section one Blackie fears that if he does not go with Trevors plan he will be left out of the “fame for the gang.” All Blackie wants is for the gang to be respected
