Have you ever heard of “Bloody Mary”? This is the person who Bloody Mary is named after. Why is she called this? “To be kind to all, to like many and love a few, to be needed and wanted by those we love, is certainly the nearest we can come to happiness.” Mary Stuart was known as the Queen of Scotland. For about 2 years, she was also the queen of France. She was most famous after her execution in 1587 for allegedly plotting a scheme to overthrow England’s Queen Elizabeth I. Queen Elizabeth is also her cousin. Many people in England and Scotland believed the Mary was the rightful heir to the English throne and that Elizabeth was illegitimate because her mother was not the king's wife. Even before her execution, she was imprisoned 20 years before her beheading. She was married three times. First was for safety and love. Second was for Scotland. The last marriage was because she felt she loved him.

First, there would not be the TV show called “Reign”. Second, we would not have that really cool game in the dark called “Bloody Mary”. Third, Queen Elizabeth would not have felt so threatened by anyone and there would not be as much tension between England and Scotland as there was back then. Next, The “Rough Wooing” would not have happened because there would not have been a 6-day-old baby for Henry VI to propose a marriage with his son for. Also, Mary’s second husband would not have died because she would not have been married to her and also, she would not have married a murderer, so neither of of the lords would have become kings of Scotland. The world would also be different because her son, King James VI of Scotland and King James I of England would not have been born. Along with that, the union of England and Scotland probably would not have happened under the “Stuart” name. Scotland and England probably would have never even united at
