June 19, 2013. The two weeks vacation to Boca Raton, Florida was not what I had in mind. We arrived at Fort Lauderdale airport around noon. As soon as I stepped out the airport door, the sun was beaming down on me. It was not humid like in Pennsylvania. It was just hot and dry and it was comforting and relaxing.
When we finally reached my uncle’s place in Boca Raton after few hours of driving, my cousins and I were ready to jump in the pool. On our 3 minutes walk to the community pool, we saw at least 20 lizards crawling around, which reminds me of Vietnam. It was a beautiful day when the sun was out, the sky was blue, and the birds were chirping. But there were nobody at the pool except for us, which surprised me a little. Usually, I checked the pool water before I got in the water; however, one of my cousins pushed me in before I could check the water.

This is life,” one of my cousin said and I agreed.
When we walked back to my uncle’s house, a turtle was slowly crawling before us. We watched for a while and we left for dinner. After dinner, my uncle showed his garden full of plants and herbs and we found the same turtle crawling through his garden. Behind his little garden, there are massive palm trees covering up the beautiful beach. We couldn’t get pass the palm tree and we do not want to, since there were many alligators resting there. The next few days, we visited the tropical fruits ranch and drive-through zoo. At the ranch, there were atemoyas, avocados, dragon fruits, jackfruits, papayas, riberries, pulasans, and many more. We learned how the farmers taking care of their fields and trees. At the drive through zoo, the rhino was getting really close to our rental van, so that was the most horrifying moment of my life, but it was the coolest because there is no way I’m getting that close to rhino again. Not only the rhino, many ostriches were coming to up to our van. One of the ostriches actually pecked our window and luckily we had the window
