“I always tell the truth!” said the officer and that one! Loyalty and honesty, what did these words mean to you? These two words weren’t included in a police officers vocabulary. He shall not lie, he put his hand on the bible and he lied. Giving officers body cameras to wear is a great step to solving these crimes and getting the truth out, because now you can’t rely on officers to be truthful and honest at all times, no matter the situation. Body cameras will push officers to reduce dishonesty in incident reports, reduce the use of force and empower them to become more professional. If it is recorded that officers have been extremely cruel and completely harsh to victims, it would decrease the chance to lie on incident reports. Source Text 3: Pro: Yes. Victims are getting killed and beat by officers that are only getting a suspension from work, with pay? How is that fair to the ones that have to suffer after these officers have taken someone important from their life’s, it isn’t fair and body cameras will be a great addition to lessen the force
