Summary- the book “who were the beatles” is a book describing the lives of four famous men. Their names were John, Paul, Ringo, and George. They made up a band called The Beatles.
Some things I learned while reading this book is that John Lennon was born in the World War Two in a town called Liverpool. Johns family was very poor. They could barely afford a bed for him. At a very young age, John moved in with his aunt because she could support him better. Years later, John’s mom passed in a car accident.
Paul McCartney was born on June 18th, 1942. His family wasn’t rich or poor. Pauls mom died of breast cancer on October 31, 1956. Paul was only fourteen. This was a very sad time for him. This started Paul career in music, giving him passion to play.
Out of all four beatles, Ringo had the hardest childhood of all. Ringo got sick with Appendicitis. He missed so much school, and spent almost three years in the hospital. He ended up dropping out at 15. In the hospital, he learned to play the drums. Without being in school, ringo got other jobs like being a messenger. He also worked at a factory fitting pipe. He started a band with some friends of his. They practiced regularly, but ringo wasn't worried about become famous and making lots of money.
