Books Should Be Taught In Schools

Have you ever wondered why teachers choose the books you read in class? Or why you always enjoy them? Well, I support the decision to let all teachers choose the selection of reading for next school year. Teachers should select the books because they know what skills and lessons that need to be interpreted. They determine the books that have meaning and skill that we as students need to learn. As teachers they also have experience of what the good books are. For example, most English teachers are in their thirties to forties. Teachers also know what books are great for each student. Every student has a different reading level that the teacher bases her choices off of.
Even though it would be amusing for students to choose, teachers should select the books because they know what we need to interpret from them. In my opinion teachers have a lot of knowledge and skill that they put into choosing our books. Teachers go to school for four to five years to learn about teaching and how to be a good teacher. Being a good teacher means making smart choices and using their knowledge to do everything. Through my experience teachers have always chosen the books that have meaning and a life lesson. A book with meaning teaches you something. Whether its how to live or maybe just learning new vocabulary

From all my years of school I have realized that not every kid is on the same reading level as me. Even though I was usually on a higher reading level than most the teacher always choose a book that maybe was a little under my level, but everyone understood it and learned from it. The teacher always balanced our books out like having too many people on board so throwing a few out. This is meant to explain that really high accelerating students sometimes might have to back down for some who just aren't there yet.
