Music has had a huge impact on my life, I have so many memories amazing memories that are permanently linked with songs in my head. These songs are very important to me and I believe I would be a very different person if I had never heard them. These songs span a wide variety of genres and meanings. Some of words don’t mean much to me, but the memories and the music that go with them will stay with me forever. When I think of songs that have shaped me and made me who I am I immediately think of Chris LeDoux. My favorite song of his, “Born To Follow Rodeo” might be my favorite song of all time. The lyrics and the music speak to me and how I want to live. This song is also linked with countless memories with my family. “Much Too Young,” by Garth Brooks, is my favorite song. The lyrics speak to me in ways I cannot explain, it sings of rodeo, hardships, discouragement, and successfulness. Garth Brooks is one of my favorite singers and in this song he pays tribute to my favorite singer: Chris LeDoux. Words cannot explain how much I love this song and how much I it does for me. “Much Too Young” helps me realize that life will be hard and that I can always fight through, it teaches me to keep fighting for my dreams no matter what, and it also teaches me to love and appreciate what I have and not take life for granted. I will always be able to remember these lessons through this song and I will always think of my family and rodeo when it is played. “Much Too Young” has been, by far, the most influential song in my life, I do not even want to think about knowing it, because I know that I would not have the life I live
