Boys Should Not Be Allowed In Schools

In the early nineteenth century, it was very common for girls and boys to be in different school classes, but as time and society evolved so did schools, and it soon became unheard of for the genders to be in different classrooms in schools. Now the question that arises in this decade is should girls and boys still be separated in schools because it is more beneficial for their education. Girls and boys should not be put in divided classes during school because it segregates from learning social skills with the opposite gender, the genders learning differences are for the better, it would not be beneficial for college and jobs after high school. In gender-segregated schools, it does not prepare the students for life after they graduate. When they go to college or get jobs, they will not know how to socialize and associate together because they did not grow up with the opposite gender in school. "The social aspects at a coed school are what you're going to encounter in the real world when you start working. It's good practice (Kate, 24, North Carolina State University).” In the real world after high-school, you do not see colleges, or workplaces segregated by gender, places just are not like that. They are going to need those social skills later in life, especially as they become adults. "My friends and I never thought of boys as real people in high school--they were like pets! So one of the best parts of going co-ed is getting to know and understand guys as individuals." this proves the opposite genders see each other differently if they go to a single-sex school. It would also make there be less drama in all girls classes by having boys in there too. Boys may also still act out in co-ed classes, but I think there would not be as much acting out with girls in the class
